  • I nominate Fred Wilpon of the Mets, he built a shrine to his Brooklyn Dodgers at Citifield. When the Met fans complained that there was no Met history or pictures at Citifield, he had the Met memoriabilia spread throughout the stadium.

  • I just hope Cablevision, doesn't buy the Mets. The Mets are pathetic, they have no assets to trade so I expect nothing will happen, and the Mets will finish above the Nationals in NL east.

  • I am a 15 game ticket holder in the new stadium. I wished the Mets would have signed Derrick Lowe & Orlando Hudson, dumped Oliver Perez and Luis Castillo. The Wilpons, claimed they lost millions investing with Madoff.

  • Those are my opinions, I have gone to many baseball games with my grandfather & parents over 40 years. I do care about the players and wish I could have been out there also. My dad asks me if the games are on the level. Is today the 1919 White Sox.

  • Gentleman, I knew a high school football offensive lineman, who didnt play past college, did steroids & bounced at local bars. He was divorced with a son , and he dropped dead in his bathroom at 34, from a heart attack.

  • Mr Selig, the owners knew what was going on & they kept their mouths shut when the players grew as well as their stats. The dollars flowed in from the fans after the 94 strike.The owners were scared of the players union.

  • Mookie is unfortunately right in his assessment of Citifield, Shea Stadium where I attended many Met & Jet games over the years, concerts (The Who, Stones & Bruce Springsteen). Shea was old & behind the times ok a dump. When the Mets did well the building shook.
